STRICK TRAILERS, LLC EXPANDS PRODUCTION

Strick Trailers integrates second line to keep up with production demand

(Monroe, IN, October 31, 2017– Strick Trailers, LLC announces the expansion of its Monroe, Indiana manufacturing facility by adding a 44,000 sq.ft. production line dedicated to focusing on the unique characteristics of its custom trailer business. The addition will increase flexibility and manufacturing capabilities to more efficiently respond to specific customer needs integrating unparalleled innovation. The expansion has created more than 30 new jobs.

According to Jim Gazdick, VP of Operations, “This expansion gives us the flexibility to build low volume, specialized trailers with shorter lead times. By shifting the production of our more customized, special order trailers from our main production line to the new line, we have increased our overall production capacity by 25%.” With the second line in operation, Strick can focus on specialized, customized products that demand specific requirements which many larger trailer manufacturers turn down.

Strick manufactures the highest quality trailers which include many standard features not often included by the competition. “Strick excels at “customer-ization,” says Steve Burns, President at Strick. “It is all about how you want it! Our job is to understand the unique specifications of our customers, to maximize the trailer’s performance for their operation, and combine those specifications to provide the lowest cost, longest lasting trailer they can buy.” Strick has, and still leads the way in trailer innovations allowing shippers to haul more freight and reduce operating costs.

Today, Strick focuses on its specialized line of custom trailers and caters to a variety of customers who are purposely looking to do custom building for specific products. Using cutting-edge technologies and engineering excellence that is becoming more difficult for other manufacturers to perform, Strick’s second line has the flexibility to build a factory-built custom trailer down to the bolt and nut to meet the demands of each individual end user. “The success of our future will continue to focus on custom capabilities, speed, customer service, and innovation,” says Burns. Strick has not only shaped the way the industry builds trailers, but has set the standard for dry van trailers throughout the industry.
