Director of Dealer Sales – Strick Trailers and Cheetah Chassis 

Strick Trailers and Cheetah Chassis lead the industry in the design and manufacturing of customized aluminum van trailers (Strick) and intermodal and specialty steel chassis (Cheetah) used to transport all types of diverse products and freight within the United States.  We currently have a Director of Dealer Sales (DDS) opportunity based in the Mid-West region of the US  to service the continental United States and Canada,

In keeping with our mission, we believe in establishing committed business relationships which require personal attention to stimulate and identify sales opportunities that support our continued plans for production growth and capacity at each of our facilities.  The Director of Dealer Sales will be expected to travel Tuesday through Thursdays, 2 weeks per month, approximately 6 days per month OR as required by dealer and or end-user needs. Sales visits will include climbing in, out and under trailers to obtain further information for our manufacturing and engineering teams. Mondays and Fridays are used to compile data obtained while out in the field.  Aside from overnight travel to visit selected end user accounts and dealers, there will be required representation and networking at industry conventions and meetings.  

This position will be guided by and report directly to our Companies CSO. Accompanied personal field exploration will be provided in combination with added, detailed product specification training designed to help you achieve success. Strick Trailers and Cheetah Chassis employ team members that support one another and share their knowledge and expertise so the DDS will never feel alone in the field. While industry experience is preferred, the emphasis is on 5 years of proven sales, business development or other relevant experience in the class 8 truck/trailer/chassis markets. The candidate for Director of Dealer Sales must have a solid, current working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite software including Microsoft Teams and be able to easily and seamlessly toggle between PC and handheld devices to communicate digitally with associates at each plant as well as dealers and end users while working from their home office or in the field.  

Aside from ensuring our desired coverage of all accounts needed to generate sales revenue, the DDS will also be expected to actively contribute to the development of innovative products and services to deliver and exceed our dealers’ and end users’ expectations.  Your demonstrated ability to develop tools to identify prospects and maintain customer data will be an important measure of your success.  As a key member of our team, you must also spend 1 week per quarter collaborating at our Monroe, IN, and initially at our Cheetah Chassis facility in Berwick, PA.

Compensation will include a competitive base salary, incentive-based sales rewards, and eligibility for profit sharing. Full benefits package available.
